Havelock Charity Run
Our whole family participated in the Havelock Charity Run this year, including Grandma and Grandpa!  I ran the 10K with Jill and Julie, while the rest of the family did the 3K (a little less than 2 miles).  Grandma and Grandpa pushed the kids in the double stroller, but Isaiah ran the last .2 miles.  The announcer was talking about him as he ran across the finish line.  Claire didn't walk for any of it, very rare for her, but she had a pretty bad case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth.  That means she had blisters all over her feet and they were very painful!

Water Fun!
We had some more fun with water this month!  Isaiah came up with some very good inventions!  One os pictured below...water through the noodle, onto the dump truck, shooting into the steam roller!
Claire loves to lay down in the bath on her back.  One night as she was laying there I started putting the bath letters all over her!  She thought it was hilarious!

We Love Our Piggy Pig!
We are guinea pig sitting this summer for Andy's Aunt's.  We have all, however, started calling Rusty a "piggy pig" as that's how Claire says it!  The kids love Rusty, especially Isaiah.  They get him out everyday and play with him.  Sometimes I feel sorry for the guinea pig having the endure Isaiah's love!

Children's Museum
Isaiah took a class at the Children's Museum at the end of the month.  He went every day from 8:30-11:00.  He had a lot of fun playing at the museum and making fun crafts!  After the class a couple of the days the kids and I stayed and played a little more!  The new water area is really neat and Isaiah played there for an endless amount of time while Claire danced around on the stage!

More Zoo Time!
We visited the Lincoln Children's Zoo this month as well.  Claire loves the tortoise statue in the animal kingdom.  Both the kids got to catch a butterfly and enjoyed hanging around like little monkeys!  They also got to ride a camel!  And just to let you know, kids under 5 have to have an adult ride with them...and the adult has to pay!  But this lady talked one of the "adult" zoo crew members into riding with them so I didn't have to pay for me! :-)

Sutton
We went back to Sutton twice this month.  The first time was for the garage sales.  Andy's parents had one at their place and we took some of our baby stuff to sell.  Claire, of course, enjoyed playing with all of it while we were selling it!
In the afternoon I took the kids to the pool with Jon and Stacey and J.J.  The kids loved playing in the water and going down the slide!  When we went back to Bob and Deb's we turned on Diego and Claire and Jentry fell asleep cold!

We went back to Sutton the next weekend for Dugout Days.  We took the kids down to the carnival and they were thrilled with all the rides!  They were extremely tired and mad when we left!

Go Green!
Isaiah had his final track meet at the end of the month.  They started with parade of champions in which each group got introduced and walked in front of the grand stand.  Isaiah was pretty proud!  At the final meet they race six kids at a time and Isaiah came in......sixth! :-)  He was very proud and excited about his run, as were we!

Omaha Zoo Trip 2012

We started a tradition a few years ago in which we go to the zoo every summer with the Yost family.  This year we ventured down to Omaha in June to wander around the Henry Doorly Zoo!  We started by going through the newly remodeled aquarium.  There weren't too many new exibits, except for the giant crabs and jellyfish, but the changes were great!

Next we went through the jungle and took our yearly picture of all four kids on the floor.  Claire went across the waterfall bridge with daddy.  Isaiah started across, I really thought he was going to go!  But, of course, he changed his mind as he got closer!  Maybe next year! :-)  While in the jungle it started to poor outside, luckily, it was lunch time and we just stayed inside and ate at the Treetop Cafe!  By the time we were done eating, the rain had stopped.

Claire really enjoyed posing on the different statues at the zoo!  We got Isaiah to pose on one briefly!

We briefly spent some time at the petting zoo.  The kids each got a brush and took good care of the goats!  But very soon after we got there, it started down pouring again!  We took cover under the pavilion for about 10 minutes and waited it out while eating snacks.

We found a nice spot for a family pose!

Yay for giraffes!

How cute it this...even if the lighting is bad!

Saying hello to the little meerkat in the Desert Dome.

Lincoln Marathon
I ran the Lincoln Half Marathon again this year.  I trained with my friends Julie and Jill, although Julie didn't run it this year..maybe next year!  I had my personal best time of 2:09!!

Go Green!
We signed Isaiah up for the Little Green track club again.  He had many practices and a few run for ribbons nights.  He was very consistent, in that he got a white ribbon (last place!)  every time!  But he had a blast doing it! :-)

Fun in the Water!
We got to play in the not-quite-summer heat for the first time at our new house!  Grandma Deb had given the kids a fun, wiggly sprinkler for Easter and we tried it out.  Isaiah had more fun filling up his buckets with the wiggly fingers than running through it!

Turtle Time!
After bath time Claire likes to be completely wrapped up in her towel and pretends to be a turtle!

Happy Birthday Everett!
This super cute picture was taken in Sutton at Everett's birthday party!

Bye, Bye Miss Joy :-(
We had to say good-bye to our wonderful Miss Joy this year.  She informed us in March that they were going to be moving to Gretna at the end of the school year.  We are all heart-broken.  Miss Joy has been true to her name and has been a joy to us for the past three year.  We are happy for her family's chance for a change, but very sad to see her go.  Next year the kids will be going to another in-home daycare where I know they will be loved well, too, but we will truly miss the great Miss Joy!

Family Pictures
We had our yearly family pictures taken on East Campus this year.  We had Carissa Martin, a friend from church, take them this year.  It was very HOT that day and Claire, of course, had decided not to nap that day.  Carissa did a great job of trying to get Claire to smile and capture some great pictures of our family.

Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!
On Memorial Day we went to the Lincoln Zoo with Andy's parents.  The kids had a lot of fun seeing all the animals and all the changes the zoo made this season.  Claire enjoyed being a monkey and Isaiah got to sit with Grandpa Bob on the train!
